Oktoberfest, Glass-Cutting, and Altitude Sickness!
It's Oktoberfest in Breckenridge, Colorado. Rejoice!!!

I came here with my family for some much needed rest and relaxation.
The Umpapa Band played such immortal classics as "Roll out the Barrel" and "The Chicken Dance".

And there was much rejoicing

After indulging in the festivites of Oktoberfest my family and I happened upon a hat store and...UH OH!...cue silly montage music.

Above is my sister-in-law Valerie. For some reason she decided not to participate in the whole "wig and hat" thing.
Now many may not know this, but Breckenridge is nearly 10,000 feet above sea level, which means Oxygen is in short supply. Therefore we must rely on Oxygen bars in order to satisfy our O2 needs.

Here I am recharging after Oktoberfest.

We went to several wonderful places to eat while we were in Breckenridge. I especiialy enjoyed the religiously-conscious A&W Restraunt reminding us of Peter 3:9 and their new Mushroom Onion Melts!!!

After a few days we decided to come down from the mountains for some air AND a segway tour of downtown Denver!!!
This is me on my segway right before I got fired out of a canon.

After the segway tour we went to visit my brother Pete at his glass store which he owns and operates.

Here he discusses business with my Dad.

Pete took us in the back wharehouse and demonstarted how exactly one cuts glass AND kicks ass.

He then decided to put me to work. Contrary to how this picture looks, I am not screaming like a girl but actually bellowing a glass cutting war-cry!

Me. showing off my work and my double chin. That's where I hide my snacks and other contraband.

Shortly after I finished I regretted my decision to work for my brother when I noticed the remnants of those who came before me sitting on his desk.

We rounded out the trip with some nice dinners no where near as enlightening as the A&W, but excellent nonetheless. This one we were celebrating my 28th B-Day a few weeks earlier. That's a candle I'm chewing on.

And now brace yourselves as I steal a move from the Kathie Lee-Gifford book of "shamelessly talking about infants", as I tack on a pic of my yet to be born niece/nephew!!!!

As excited as I am to meet this new addition to the family, I do find the fetus staring into the camera a bit unsettling. It's kind of alien-like and haunts my dreams, but I'll leave it at that.
Kathie Lee would not approve.
