Curious about my work day? Come take a look...
My workplace has become strange territory in my life. I work a lot but I have moments of downtime where I find myself doing things I wouldn't normally be doing.
Example: Today on Roseanne Barr's website I read her feelings on Oprah. I watched four different Motley Crue videos on YouTube. I wrote and submitted a movie review of a piss poor romantic comedy I saw and submitted it to an online site in the hopes that they might post it.
I also tend to engage in conversation that, once it's run it's course, I giggle about because of the sheer absurdity of it all.
Example: Today I talked with a co-worker about the fire extinguishers for a solid three minutes. It actually led to me reminiscing about "Good Books", the 5th grade play I was in, during which a fire extinguisher was used to great effect as a spaceship's afterburners. What the hell was I talking about!?
I also tend to recieve praise for the lamest of things, and yet regardless of their total lack of greatness I am still proud of the recognition of such things.
Compliments I recieved today:
-"Mike, the office plants are thriving."
-"Your rubberband ball is impressive!"
Seen enough? Okay good.
