WARRIORS. PLAYOFFS. ENOUGH SAID.

It's been 12 long years since the Warriors have made an appearance in the playoffs (the second worst streak in NBA history) but that all came to an end last night and I was at Oracle Arena to watch it happen via sattelite from Portland where we spanked the Trailblazers and took ownership of the 8th and final playoff spot for good!

This is Dan and Me with Thunder the mascot. I guess he's supposed to be some kind of superhero or something, I don't know, whatever he is it's embarrassing. He also was very damp and smelled like a dirty washrag.
Oh! And the he stole Dan's crutches!!!

The Warrior Girls took time off from stripping at Deja Vu to make an appearance for the fans!

We watched the game on the big screen, all the way down to the final seconds when they sealed up victory...

And there was much rejoicing!

Me, Dan, and Skip, my "Don't Stop The Noise" bretheren.

And in perfect Oakland CA fashion, dancing ensued (and I was very glad I didn't have a car with me).

The Warriors bring people together. It's their gift.

And, much like the Circle K incident at spring training, someone forgot their baby.

All in all it was a fantastic evening. I didn't even mind that Thunder was such a dumb mascot. I was proud of my team for defying the odds and regaining some of the greatness that had been elluding them for so long.
It was so exciting that it almost felt like a dream. I woke up this morning and thought "Did that really happen? Did we win? Did Thunder really smell that bad?". Then I opened the paper...

We did it.
